David Nicklin, Geology Associate
David had an eighteen year career with ARCO, retiring in 1999 as Chief Geologist for their worldwide geosciences staff. He has both management and technical experience in developing new exploration ventures worldwide. He started his career at ARCO as a Senior Geologist developing exploration opportunities in Europe, Middle East, and China. Later he became ARCO’s Chief Geologist for Asia and the Middle East Region where he supervised the development of new exploration ventures and provided support for the Indonesian field operations. David later became the Exploration Manager for ARCO Bali North and New Zealand.
After retiring from ARCO, David founded Petroleum Development Associates LLC, building a successful oil and gas exploration company that was the predecessor to Serica Energy, PLC, a publicly traded company.
