Larry enjoyed a successful thirty-five year career with Shell and its international subsidiary, Pecten. He is a seasoned explorationist experienced in the identification of new opportunities. He started his career working as a geologist in Shell’s various U.S. District offices in a variety of technical and managerial positions, including Exploration Economics Manager and assistant to the Chief of Operations. In 1977, he became New Venture Manager for Shell (Pecten) International focusing on Central and South America, Africa, Europe, and the Far East, where he evaluated tender offers and negotiated contracts with host countries and national oil companies. Later, Larry was District Exploration Manager for Shell’s Gulf Coast Mesozoic team and was responsible for all exploration activity, including seismic work, leasing, developing drill sites, and evaluating new ventures.
